How long should a password be?
Security experts recommend at least 12 characters. Use the `########` pattern (8 `#` chars) for 12+ character passwords — each `#` draws from the full character set.
Are these passwords stored anywhere?
No. Every password is generated entirely inside your browser using the Web Crypto API. Nothing is transmitted to any server.
What does "Exclude Ambiguous" do?
It removes characters that look similar in certain fonts — I, l, 1, O, 0 — reducing transcription errors when copying passwords by hand.
Can I use symbols in my password?
Yes. Enable the Symbols character set to include special characters like !@#$%^&*. Many sites require at least one symbol.
